What an aging report actually shows
An aging report is a snapshot, not a to-do list: it groups every invoice you haven’t been paid for by how long it’s been outstanding, so you can see the shape of the problem instead of one invoice at a time. The buckets here are the usual ones an accountant expects: current (not yet due), 1-30, 31-60, 61-90, and 90+ days late. As a rule of thumb, the older an unpaid invoice gets, the less likely it is to be collected at all, which is exactly why these buckets exist: a pile of money in the 90+ column is a different problem than the same amount sitting in 1-30.
Aging by due date vs. invoice date
Aging by due date answers “how overdue is this,” measured from the date payment was actually owed: an invoice isn’t late until its due date passes, so this is what most people mean by an aging report. Aging by invoice date instead measures from the day you sent the invoice, useful if you want to see how long money generally sits outstanding regardless of the payment terms you happened to give that client. If a row has no due date, both modes fall back to its invoice date automatically.
What this is, and what it isn’t
This only totals what you type in: it doesn’t know which of your invoices are actually paid, so leave paid ones out entirely rather than marking them somehow. Nothing here is uploaded anywhere; the report is built and totaled in this browser tab, on your own device, and saved only in this browser’s local storage so it’s still here next time you open the page.

Take it further, in a spreadsheet
This report is a snapshot: a one-time look at where the money is stuck, built from invoices you typed in once. The Small Business Finance Kit’s Invoice Log keeps every invoice and its status all year, so a report like this is always current instead of something you rebuild from scratch each time.
